Regina von Siebold

Regina von Siebold, née Henning (1771-1849), was a German physician and obstetrician.
She was from 1795 the spouse and medical assistant of physician Damian Siebold. When her spouse became mentally ill and incapable of work she received an obstetrician license from Darmstadt University: in 1815, she received an exam in the same subject from the Giessen University and the first of her gender to do so. She managed a medical clinic assisted by he daughter Charlotte von Siebold.
A crater on Venus is named after her.
