Redfern Town Hall

The Redfern Town Hall is a landmark sandstone building located in the heart of Redfern built in 1870 and designed by the architect George Allen. Redfern Town Hall was the site of a meeting of Rugby League players in 1908, at which the South Sydney District Rugby League Football Club, now the South Sydney Rabbitohs, was officially formed. [1] when administrator J J Giltinan, cricketer Victor Trumper and politician Henry Clement Hoyle came together in front of a large crowd of supporters.[2] Mansfield[3]
