RedLynx Ltd. is a multi-platform Finnish video game developer and publisher based in Helsinki, Finland and founded in 2000. It is owned by Ubisoft.
History
Since its founding in 2000, it has developed and published more than 100 games on many platforms, including Xbox Live Arcade, Nintendo DS, WiiWare, PlayStation Portable, Apple iPhone, Apple Macintosh, PC, web, and mobile phones.
In late 2007, RedLynx released a turn-based strategy game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe called Warhammer 40,000: Squad Command. The game was released for the PlayStation Portable and Nintendo DS hand-held consoles.[1] On August 4, 2008, the company released Reset Generation. The game is cross-platform, designed to run on both N-Gage handsets and PCs.[2] Soundtrack for the game was provided by 8 Bit Weapon.[3]
The company is best known for Trials HD, a downloadable game released for the Xbox 360 in 2009, which achieved two million sales on May 27, 2011.[4] The company was acquired by Ubisoft in November 2011.[5]
