Răzvan Țupa
Răzvan Ţupa (born 1975) is a Romanian poet. His first book Fetis won the 2002 Mihai Eminescu First Book in Poetry National Award.[1]
Ţupa was born in Brăila and raised in Bucharest. He is a graduate of International Academy for Study of Religions and Culture History in Bucharest. Tupa was included in No Longer Poetry: New Romanian Poetry an anthology edited in English by Heaventree Press, United Kingdom.[2] In 2012, his poetry was selected for "The Vanishing Point that Whistles", an anthology of contemporary Romanian poetry published by Talisman House in U.S..[3]
He was considered among the poets of the so-called The "2000" Generation in Romania. .[4]
His second book of poetry included a CD with audio versions of his poetry. In 2005 and 2006 he recorded video poetry.[5] In 2009, Razvan Tupa produced an one hour feature film presenting 24 young Romanian poets. "Poetry. the power" was shown in Bucharest, Berlin, Chishinev and Prague.[6]
He is the founding editor of the poetry magazine Versus/Versum.
In 2005 he launched Poetics of the Quotidian,[7] a series of literary meetings in Club A in Bucharest.
His poems have appeared in the literary journals România Literară, Litere and others. He read his poetry and attended different readings in Paris, Rome, Prague, Bratislava, New York and Berlin.[8] He lives in Bucharest.
