Raymond Joseph (Ray) McGrath (born March 27, 1942) is a former member of the United States House of Representatives. He was a Republican from New York.
McGrath was born in Valley Stream, New York. He graduated from the State University of New York at Brockport in 1963 and received an M.A. from New York University in 1968. His profession was that of a biology teacher, and from 1965 to 1971 he also served as the commissioner of the Hempstead Parks and Recreation Bureau.
From 1977 until 1980, McGrath served in the New York State Assembly. He was elected as a Republican to the 97th United States Congress and served from January 3, 1981 until January 3, 1993. He retired after six terms in Congress and became the president of the Beer Institute. He is currently President of the Downey McGrath Group, Inc. in Washington, D.C.
