Ray Oliver Donels (March 19, 1902 – April 15, 1973) was the 17th head football coach for the Iowa State University Cyclones located in Ames, Iowa and he held that position for two seasons, from 1941 until 1942. His career coaching record at Iowa state was 3 wins, 8 losses, and 1 tie. As of the conclusion of the 2007 season, this ranks him 24th at Iowa State in total wins and 26th at Iowa State in winning percentage.[1]
