Raviwar Peth is one of the Peths in the city of Pune, India. The word raviwar means Sunday in local language (Marathi). The ancient name of this place was Malkapur. This area was developed by Nilopant Mujumdar in 1670. This area is famous for shops of Gold and Silver ornaments and for the market of plastic products. The Someshwar temple, Jumma Majid, Ram Mandir, Laxminarayan Temple, Vitthal Temple and Bhohri Jammat Khana are famous in this area. This area also has famous wholesale textile market in Pune. PMPML Buses, passing through this area, connect this area to Pune Station, Deccan, Camp, Market Yard, Padmavati and Swargate. This area has cinema hall like Alpana, Vikas, Prabhat, Shree Krishna & Apollo. This area is bordered by Budhwar Peth, Shukrawar Peth, Rasta Peth and Kasba Peth.
