Raver (रावेर) a city and a municipal council in Jalgaon district in the Indian state of Maharashtra.

Geography

Raver is located at North Maharashtra. It is very near (22 km) to Madhya Pradesh.21°15′N 76°02′E / 21.25°N 76.03°E / 21.25; 76.03.[1] It has an average elevation of 248 metres (813 feet).

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[2] Raver had a population of 25,949. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Raver has an average literacy rate of 65%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 72%, and female literacy is 58%. In Raver, 15% of the population is under 6 years of age. Along with Social, political and Cultural identity, Raver is famous for Banana Agricultural production.

It is well connected by Railways and falls under CR (Bhusawal division). 11058 LTT-ASR and 11057 ASR-LTT Express halts here. Other known trains to halt here are Bhusawal-Itarsi Passenger, etc.
