Rathi

Rathi, Rathee or Rath is a surname and a number of various unrelated gotras of mainly Gurjars, Rajputs, Jats and Yaduvanshi Ahirs.

It is said that Rathi people fought wars with the rath (chariot) hence they are known as Rathi. It is also claimed that they involved in the rdae or constructions of wagons. (like the Germann Wagners) Some claim to be descendants of a Nagavanshi ancestor named Ratharvi.[1]
