- 1903–1987 was known as the Rawson Stakes (named after Sir Harry Holdsworth Rawson, Governor of New South Wales from 27 May 1902 to 27 May 1909)
- 1988–1990 known as the ‘Segenhoe Stakes’
- 1991 onwards - Ranvet Stakes [2]
