Randy Blair
Randy Blair is an American musical theatre actor, writer, and performance artist.
His first full length production, Perez Hilton Saves the Universe (or at least the greater Los Angeles area): the Musical!, was awarded Outstanding Musical at the 2008 New York International Fringe Festival, as well as a Talkin' Broadway citation for Best Summer Musical.[1] Fat Camp, which won Best of Fest at the 2009 New York Musical Theatre Festival directed by Alex Timbers, played a limited Off-Broadway run at the American Theatre of Actors in Spring 2012. It is currently under option by Carl Levin (Rock of Ages) and Dodger Theatricals for a Broadway production.[2] His other works include Spidermusical off-Broadway at the Mint Theatre, The Other Barrymores and Haute Mess at Ars Nova, and Leslie Kritzer's Beautiful Disaster at Joe's Pub.
As an actor, Blair appeared off-Broadway in the OBIE winning musical Adding Machine, directed by David Cromer. Other credits include the world premieres of The Yellow Wood (directed by BD Wong), Chaplin, and The Tragic and Horrible Life of the Singing Nun. Regionally, he has appeared in productions of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Avenue Q, Oliver!, Ragtime, and Children of Eden. His film and TV work includes "Naked Brothers Band", "Viralcom", "Law & Order", "Strangers with Candy", Across the Universe, and the film Afterwards with John Malkovich.[3]
