Ramsund is a village in the municipality of Tjeldsund in Nordland county, Norway. It is located on the eastern shore of the Ramsundet strait, just south of the Ramsund Bridge. The 0.53-square-kilometre (130-acre) village has a population (2011) of 241. The population density is 455 inhabitants per square kilometre (1,180 /sq mi).[1] Ramsund Chapel is located in this village. There is also a military base located south of the village that is the base for the Marinejegerkommandoen unit.[3]
