It was opened in 1931. It served the neighborhood Ramstad between Høvik and Blommenholm, mainly a residential area. With Ramstad Station located 10.4 km from Oslo West Station, both Høvik and Blommenholm Station was located less than one kilometre away. Hence, Ramstad Station was discontinued in 1973.
