Ramesh Chennithala (Malayalam:രമേശ് ചെന്നിത്തല) (born 25 May 1956, in Chennithala, Mavelikkara, Kerala, India) is an Indian politician. He is the son of late Ramakrishnan Nair. He was elected a Member of Parliament thrice and was also a Kerala State Cabinet Minister at the age of 27 in K.Karunakaran's ministry. He is a Working Committee member of Congress Party and was the President of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC).[2] He has taken charge as Home Minister of Kerala State from 1 January 2014.[3]
