Ramagrama

The stupa of Ramagrama is located roughly 25 km east of Bhairahawa, in the Nawalparasi District of Nepal.
Site Description
The only undisturbed original stupa containing relics of Lord Buddha. Built in 6th century B.C. and enlarged by being enveloped with bricks subsequently. The site includes adjacent monasteries.[1]
World Heritage Status
This site was added to the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List on May 23, 1996 in the Cultural category.[2]
