He sustained 11 stab wounds on his body and a gunshot to the left side of his chest.[3] Manahan suffered two gunshots on her face and shoulder,[4] and Ramona was left uninjured because Revilla saved them from further attacks by fighting and locking the door. Citing a police report, Sen. Revilla, brother of the victim, said the gunman shot Ram Revilla with a .45 caliber gun and then stabbed him.[5]

Wake and burial

October 29, 2011, the first day of the wake of Revilla, was full of members of his family and friends, including his supporters and fans. Numerous Philippine personalities visited Revilla's wake. President Benigno Aquino III said his condolences through presidential deputy spokesperson Abigail Valte and expressed that he might attend Revilla's wake to pay his respect personally, however due to a busy schedule, the president was not able to go.[6] A mass was held in the last night of Revilla's wake on November 1, 2011. Revilla's remains were buried on November 2, 2011 at 2:00 pm. Revilla was buried at the Revilla Mausoleum located at Angelus Eternal Garden in Toclong, Imus, Cavite with his family and closest friends leading the funeral rites.[7]
