Lieutenant General Sir Thomas Ralph Eastwood KCB DSO MC (1890–1959) was a British Army General during World War II.
Military career
Ralph Eastwood was commissioned into the Rifle Brigade (Prince Consort's Own) in 1910.[1] After serving in World War I, he went on to become Commandant of the Royal Military College Sandhurst in 1938.[2]
He served in World War II becoming General Officer Commanding 4th Division. In 1941 he was appointed General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Northern Command.[2] He went on to be Governor of Gibraltar in 1944 and retired from the British Army in 1947.[3]
He was also Colonel Commandant of 1st Bn the Rifle Brigade.[4]
