Rajhenav (pronounced [ˈraːi̯xɛnau̯]; German: Reichenau[2][3]) is an abandoned settlement in the Municipality of Kočevje in southern Slovenia. It was mostly inhabited by Gottschee Germans. During the Second World War its original population was expelled. After the war it was used by the Yugoslav military until 1991. The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included in the Southeast Slovenia Statistical Region.[4]
The local church was dedicated to Mary Magdalene and was a 17th-century building that was demolished in the 1960s.[5]
