Rajen Tarafdar (born June 7, 1917; died November 23, 1987[1]) was born in Rajsahi, British India (now in Bangladesh). He graduated from the Government College of Art & Craft in Calcutta in 1940 with popular arts as major. He was initially graphic designer in an advertising agency before devoting himself to cinema.
