Railway Union RFC is an Irish rugby team based in Sandymount, Dublin. It is part of the Railway Union sports club and plays in Division 2A of the Leinster League. The club colours are black, purple and old gold. The club was founded in 1905. The club fields three teams, two at senior level and one at under-20 level. The club also has a Legends team which plays exhibition matches against touring sides.
Alcohol Problems
Frequently described as a drinking club with a rugby problem, Railway Union has had a long a colourful, vomit coloured, history of drinking problems. Alcoholics Anonymous are now the official sponsors of Railway Union as the club tries to change it's messy ways.
