ZAO Raiffeisenbank (Russian: ЗАО «Райффайзенбанк») is a bank in Russia. It is a subsidiary of Raiffeisen Bank International, which in turn is a fully controlled subsidiary of Raiffeisen Zentralbank. It was originally founded in 1996 as Raiffeisenbank Austria, and is established in its current form since 2007 following the merger of Raiffeisenbank Austria and Impexbank, which has been acquired by Raiffeisenbank in 2006.
Raiffeisenbank is one of Russia's major banks, based on H1 2011 results, it ranks 9th in Russia in terms of assets, 5th in terms of private deposits, and 7th in consumer lending.[1]
Its subsidiaries in Russia are Raiffeisen-Leasing, Raiffeisen Pension Fund, and Raiffeisen Capital.
