Rai Foundation

The Rai Foundation is an educational initiative started in the 2002 by one of India's prominent industrialists, Dr Vinay Rai. The Foundation endeavours to improve the quality of education, both at the school and college levels in India.

Rai University

A private foundation, it was one of the first in India to start its own university - The Rai University. The University started with campuses in more than 20 cities, with hundreds of courses offered, divided into more than a score of colleges, each with its own presence in every campus. It claims to be the philanthropic non-profit body setup with the objective to address various socio-cultural concerns of India and its people from their web site. Currently it is having a LOI for the state of Rajasthan.

Rai Foundation Group has major initiatives in the field of education. It has more than 11000 students spread over 40 campuses in 20 cities across India. it gives free scholarships for the underprivileged girls to pursue bachelors and masters degree including providing free lodging and boarding.

Rai Foundation has the largest network of professional colleges in India. Dr.Vinay Rai has initiated full scholarship including lodging and boarding for the underprivileged girls for pursuing their bachelors and masters degrees in professional courses.

Criticism

In 2007 Paul Griffith produced on his website proof of copyright violations by the Rai Foundation .
