Rahmatullah Rahmat is an Afghan politician. He served as the Governor of Paktia province, Afghanistan[2] from 2006 to 2007.[citation needed] He was appointed to the position after the assassination of Hakim Taniwal. Rahmat was previously an official of the UNAMA mission in the east of the country.
