Rafiq Wazir Ali

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rafiq Wazir Ali was an ex-member of the popular Pakistani pop band, Strings. While studying at the Government Commerce College in Karachi[1] in 1988, in his first year of Intermediate studies he was approached by Bilal Maqsood to play the synthesiser[2] for the band.

Young in his 20s, Ali played for the band and recorded two of the band's first albums until in 1992, the quartet was disbanded to continue studies. The band was continued with only two of the former four members with Kareem Bashir Bhoy also backing out of the restarted venture.
