Radhika Roy is the guiding force behind NDTV and has been responsible for leading NDTV’s tremendous growth since inception. [1] Radhika Roy founded NDTV in 1988 along with Dr Prannoy Roy. With her editorial and production expertise, Radhika advises her team to set benchmarks in programming formats.

Career

Radhika Roy has over ten years of experience in print journalism, with leading publications such as “Indian Express” and “India Today”. In the mid-80s, she recognized the endless possibilities that TV offered as a news medium and co-founded NDTV.

Awards

Radhika has won the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award for Information, Communication and Entertainment in the year 2003.[2]


Radhika Roy married Prannoy Roy in 1972[3] and they have a daughter Tara Roy.[4] Radhika is the sister of Rajya Sabha member and CPI(M) politician, Brinda Karat. [5]
