RED Distribution, LLC (formerly Relativity Entertainment Distribution) is a Sony Music Entertainment-owned sales and marketing division that handles releases for over sixty independent record labels.[1] It is also home to 'stache media, a marketing and brand partnership agency.[1]
History
Founded in 1979 as mainly a hard rock music distributor called Important Record Distributors, which originally released Metallica's first two LPs in the US. It became RED Distribution by the 1990s.
