Qurat-ul-Ain Balouch (Urdu: قراۃ العین بلوچ) is a Pakistani singer, musician and composer.[1] She has won two Lux Style Award for song Woh Humsafar Tha from the serial Humsafar.

Personal life

Baloch was born on 4 March 1988 into a Muslim family in Aradan, Iran but when she was three year old she moved to Pakistan with her family. She did her matriculation from Kehkashan Army Public School, Multan and she has earned a Bachelors degree in IT essentials Multimedia from George Mason University, United States.

Career

Baloch started her career with cover song Ankhian Nu Ren De was the starter for her career. Even though she had no classical training, she was heavily inspired by Sufi musicians, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Abida Parveen, and specially Reshma, among others. Her song "Panchi", which she recorded with Jal Band in Coke Studio, raised her profile. In 2012, she started working with Saad Sultan. Balouch sung the title song Woh Humsafar Tha of one of the most popular dramas of Hum TV, Humsafar starring Fawad Afzal Khan, Mahira Khan and Naveen Waqar.

In 2012, Quratulain Balouch performed at Philharmonic orchestra for the BBC Asian network Queens of Melody in London.
