In June 2009, they purchased the Touch Radio Network of stations in the Midlands from Cumbria-based media company The CN Group for an undisclosed price. In October 2010 former Touch station Banbury Sound rejoined the network. The two former Lincs FM Group stations broadcasting as Oak FM in Leicestershire joined the group in 2012.
The stations are: Oak FM, 107.6 Banbury Sound, 107.3 Touch FM, 102 Touch FM, 96.2 Touch FM, 101.6 & 102.4 Touch FM and 107.1 Rugby FM.
The Touch Radio Network, which covers Banbury, Warwick, Stratford-upon-Avon, Coventry, Rugby, Tamworth, Hinckley, Nuneaton and Loughborough areas, broadcast to an adult population of 1.3 million as Touch FM, Banbury Sound, Rugby FM and Oak FM.[1]
The stations broadcast from two regional studio centres. Stations for Banbury, Stratford, Warwick, Rugby and Coventry transmit from Honiley, Warwickshire, whilst services for Hinckley, Loughborough and Tamworth emanate from Coalville, Leicestershire.
Upon selling the original stations in 2009, CN chief executive Robin Burgess said: "We have made great strides with the development of our Touch brand in the Midlands including efficiencies achieved by the co-location at Holly Farm. We now feel Quidem is best suited to take Touch forward in the future" .[2]
