Qubic experiment
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Qubic is a ground-based project of observational cosmology dedicated to measuring the Cosmic microwave background (CMB) polarization anisotropies. Qubic (Q&U Bolometric Interferometer for Cosmology) is an international collaboration involving universities and laboratories in France, Italy, the U.K. and the U.S.A. The Qubic instrument is based on bolometric interferometry, an innovative technology that is a promising alternative to direct imaging. The first module of the final instrument should be installed at the Antarctica Concordia Station in 2014.
