Qiulin (Chinese: 丘林) was name of royal tribe in old Xiongnu during the from Han Dynasty, to Northern Wei.

history

old Xiongnu royal has part of five tribe alike Luandi (攣鞮), Suibu (tribe) (須卜), Huyan (呼衍), Lan (tribe) (蘭), Qiulin (丘林). Luandi (攣鞮) tribe do production ruler of Xiongnu, other Suibu (tribe) (須卜), Huyan (呼衍), Lan (tribe) (蘭), Qiulin (丘林) do production a empress for Xiongnu ruler.

during the Northern Wei, Qiulin (丘林) tribe emigtated to Luyang, Henan. by the Chinese assimilation policy of Xiaowen, the Xiongnu Chinese of Qiulin (丘林) get surname Lin (林). they family are branch of Liu (劉) family of Han Zhao.
