Qhapaqsaya (Quechua qhapaq mighty, saya slope,[2] "mighty slope", hispanicized spelling Capacsaya) is a mountain in the Urupampa mountain range in the Andes of Peru, about 5,044 metres (16,549 ft) high. It is located in the Cusco Region, Calca Province, Lares District, and in the Urubamba Province, Urubamba District. Qhapaqsaya lies northwest of the mountain Ch'iqun, east of the mountain Pumawanka, near the pass Pumawanka q'asa (Quechua for Pumawanka pass, hispanicized Pumahuancajasa).
