Qazi Abdul Sattar

Qazi Abdul Sattar was born on 8 February 1933 at Machreta near Sitapur. He is an Urdu novelist and short story writer.
He has penned several Urdu novels — mainly set in historical contexts — including Shab Gazida, Dara Shikoh, Salahuddin Ayyubi, Khalid Ibn-e-Waleed, and Ghalib.
He was also a Professor of Urdu Department at Aligarh Muslim University before retiring in 1991.
