Qazi Abdul Sattar

Qazi Abdul Sattar was born on 8 February 1933 at Machreta near Sitapur. He is an Urdu novelist and short story writer.

He has penned several Urdu novels mainly set in historical contexts including Shab Gazida, Dara Shikoh, Salahuddin Ayyubi, Khalid Ibn-e-Waleed, and Ghalib.

He was also a Professor of Urdu Department at Aligarh Muslim University before retiring in 1991.
