Qardaha District

Qardaha District (Arabic: منطقة القرداحة / ALA-LC: Minṭaqat al-Qardāḥah) is a district (mantiqah) of the Latakia Governorate in Syria. At the 2004 Census it had a population of 74,644.[1] The centre of the district is the city of Qardaha.

Divisions

The district of Qardaha is divided into four sub-districts or Nāḥiyas (population according to 2004 official census):

  • Qardaha nahiyah (ناحية القرداحة): population 44,510.[2]
  • Harf al-Musaytirah nahiyah (ناحية حرف المسيترة): population 6,669.[3]
  • Al-Fakhurah nahiyah (ناحية الفاخورة): population 18,357.[4]
  • Jawbat Burghal nahiyah (ناحية جوبة برغال): population 5,743.[5]
