Qamber Shahdadkot District ({ Sindhi: ضلع قمبر-شهدادڪوٽ }) is a district of Sindh, Pakistan.

History

The district was split from Larkana District in December 2004. There was some controversy over the name of the district, with Qamber being favoured initially, but after protests from residents of Shahdadkot, it was renamed to Qamber-Shahdadkot District. The head quarter of the district is Qamber city.

Administration

Administratively it is subdivided into seven Talukas namely Qamber, Shahdadkot, Warah, Miro khan, Nasirabad, Qubo Saeed Khan and Sajawal. The district government comprises seven groups of offices i.e. No health, education, works and services, no finance and planning, No community development, revenue and agriculture besides district administration comprising a District Nazim (mayor), Naib Nazim (deputy mayor) and District Coordination Officer.
