Pyrimidine analogues are antimetabolites which mimic the structure of metabolic pyrimidines.
Examples
Examples include:
- 5-fluorouracil (5FU) which inhibits thymidylate synthase.
- Floxuridine (FUDR)
- Cytosine arabinoside (Cytarabine)
- 6-azauracil (6-AU)
