Public Broadcasting Services Limited (PBS) is Malta's public broadcasting company, responsible for the TVM television channel and the Radio Malta and Maltin Biss(106.6FM) and Magic (91.7FM) radio stations. PBS is funded by government grant and the sale of commercial airtime. TVM is Malta's most watched television channel, while Magic 91.7 enjoys huge popularity among local and tourist listeners.

In 1975 PBS ((formerly Xandir Malta (XM))) became joint member of the European Broadcasting Union together with the Maltese Broadcasting Authority (MBA). The latter was admitted as a full active member together with Malta Television Service Ltd already in 1970. Since 2003 PBS is the sole Maltese member of EBU. Prior to Xandir Malta, Rediffusion broadcast television programmes in Malta under the name Malta Television Service Ltd. The service was run by Associated-Rediffusion, the London and West Midlands independent broadcaster.
