Ptenín is a village and municipality (obec) in Plzeň-South District in the Plzeň Region of the Czech Republic.
The municipality covers an area of 8.15 square kilometres (3.15 sq mi), and has a population of 212 (as at 28 August 2006).
Ptenín lies approximately 29 kilometres (18 mi) south-west of Plzeň and 109 km (68 mi) south-west of Prague.
