Pseudostachyum polymorphum (thin-walled bamboo) is a species of bamboo and the sole species of the monotypic genus Pseudostachyum. The plant is found in Myanmar and India.
Taxonomy
The following species have been excluded from this genus:
- Pseudostachyum compactiflorum Kurz, replaced by Melocalamus compactiflorus (Kurz) Benth.
- Pseudostachyum glomeriflorum Kurz, replaced by Melocalamus compactiflorus (Kurz) Benth.
The species is sometimes placed in the genus Schizostachyum.
