Pruchnik ([ˈpruxɲik]) is a town in Jarosław County, Subcarpathian Voivodeship, in south-eastern Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Pruchnik. It lies approximately 17 kilometres (11 mi) south-west of Jarosław and 39 km (24 mi) east of the regional capital Rzeszów.[1]
The town has a population of 3,519. Pruchnik gained town rights around 1370; the status of town was lost in 1934, but restored as of 1 January 2011.
