Protocerebrum

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The protocerebrum is one of the three parts of the arthropodan brain, considered as the first pair of ganglia in the supraesophageal ganglion. It is associated with vision innervating the compound eyes and ocelli.[1][2] The protocerebrum contains a variety of complex and very little understood neurophils.[3][4]
