Profile histogram
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A profile histogram is a histogram where each bin contains the mean of its entries and possibly the corresponding RMS. E.g. a 1D profile histogram gives for each value of X the mean value of Y. The term profile histogram is widely used in the high energy physics community.
