Profetens Ummah
Profetens ummah (English: "The Prophet's Ummah") is an extreme[1][2] Islamist group in Norway. Ubaydullah Hussain is the spokesperson for the group. They were behind a demonstration at the American embassy in Oslo in protest against a parody video showing Muhammad. During the protest a tribute to Osama Bin Laden was made.[3] Hussain claimed that the Norwegian Muslims who had traveled to participate in the Syrian civil war were members of Profetens Ummah.[4]
Multiple politicians and commentators have condemned the group for its anti-democratic and violent message.[5][6][7]
Members
Among the members are Arfan Qadeer Bhatti and Mohyeldeen Mohammad. Most of the central members of the group have criminal backgrounds. Norwegian Police Security Service (PST) and Section for organized crime in Oslo Police district are co-operating to monitorthis group.[8]
