Prodontocharax is a genus of characins found in tropical South America, with three currently described species:
- Prodontocharax alleni J. E. Böhlke, 1953
- Prodontocharax howesi (Fowler, 1940)
- Prodontocharax melanotus N. E. Pearson, 1924
