Pro Evolution Soccer (also known as World Soccer: Winning Eleven 5 in Japan) is the first installment of Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer football video game series that was released on November 23, 2001 in Europe.[1]
Other versions
World Soccer: Winning Eleven 5 - Final Evolution was also released in Japan after the release of Pro Evolution Soccer in Europe.[2]
Reception
On release, Famitsu magazine scored the original PlayStation 2 version of the game and the J.League version a 34 out of 40 each,[3][4] giving the later Final Evolution version a score of 33 out of 40.[5]
