Prionosciadium thapsoides (DC.) Mathias[2] is a biennial herb native to the State of Veracruz, Mexico. Leaves are bipinnately compound, and the flowers are white.

Chemical studies have revealed the existence of several new dihydrofurochromones in the roots.[3]
