Priolo Gargallo (Sicilian: Priolu) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Syracuse, Sicily (Italy). It's located about 190 km southeast of Palermo and about 13 km northwest of Syracuse. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 12,009 and an area of 57.6 km².[1]
The name Priolo Gargallo comes from the nobleman Marquis Gargallo who owned land in this part of Sicily.
