The Prime Minister's Department (Malay: Jabatan Perdana Menteri) is a federal government ministry in Malaysia. It is headed by the Prime Minister of Malaysia followed by other ministers in the Prime Minister's Department. The Department consists of the Prime Minister's Office, the Deputy Prime Minister's Office and more than 50 other government agencies and entities.^[1] The Prime Minister's Department was established in July 1957.^[2] Its headquarters are in Perdana Putra, Putrajaya.

Other important agencies or governmental bodies that fall within the purview of the Prime Minister's Department are, among others, the Attorney General's Chambers, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, Election Commission of Malaysia, Department of Islamic Development, Public Service Department, Keeper of the Rulers' Seal, the Judicial Appointments Commission, Economic Planning Unit and the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency.^[1] Wan Saiful Wan Jan, chief executive of the Institute for Democracy and Economic Affairs, argued in 2012 that many of the bodies and agencies listed under the purview of the Prime Minister's Department ought to be independent bodies and that the current situation amounts to a centralization of power under the Prime Minister's Department.^[3]
