Pramod Bhasin
Pramod Bhasin is the Non-Executive Vice Chairman and former President and CEO of Genpact, the largest business process outsourcing (BPO) company in India (As of 2011).[1][2]
Foundation of Business Process Outsourcing
Pramod started GE Capital International Services (GECIS) in 1997 as the in-house BPO division of General Electric (GE) when K.P. Singh convinced Jack Welch, the former CEO of GE, to outsource certain services to India at Gurgaon.[3] It was under Pramod that GE hired Raman Roy, pioneered business process outsourcing in India, and expanded its operations from India to countries like China, Hungary, Guatemala,[4] Poland, Mexico, Morocco, the Philippines, Romania, South Africa[5] and the United States.

Pramod currently lives in New Delhi.
Earlier Career, Education, Accolades
Pramod was earlier an officer of GE. His career with GE and RCA spanned 25 years across the US, Europe and Asia. He was most recently the head of GE Capital in India and in Asia, having earlier worked with GE Capital's Corporate and Finance Group in Stamford, Connecticut.
Pramod is a Chartered Accountant (CA) from McLintock & Co, London, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Shri Ram College of Commerce.[6]
In 2007, the International Quality and Productivity Center (IQPC) at the Shared Services and Outsourcing Global Conclave named Genpact the Global Shared Services Leader of the Year along with honoring Pramod Bhasin with the Lifetime Contribution Award.[7]
Advisory roles and Member of Boards
A consultant and advisor in the domain, Pramod Bhasin served as the Chairman of India's National Association of Software & Services Companies (NASSCOM)[8] for the year 2009-10, and is also a member of the Board of Trustees of NASSCOM Foundation.
