Power is an upcoming drama television series on Starz. It is expected to air in 2014.[1]

Premise

The series follows James St. Patrick, nicknamed "Ghost", owner of a popular New York City nightclub. In addition, he is a major player in one of the city's biggest illegal drug networks. He struggles to balance these two lives, and the balance topples when he realizes he wants to leave the drug ring in order to support his legitimate business.[1]

Production

Starz ordered eight episodes of the series on June 14, 2013.[1][4] Filming was expected to begin in late 2013.[1]

Parts of the series are filmed from Dumbo, Brooklyn, in the area around Jay Street. Filming in that location started on December 6, 2013.[citation needed] Studio being used is Steiner Studio in the old Brooklyn Navy Yard.

Casting

On August 21, 2013, Omari Hardwick was cast in the lead role.[2] On October 22, 2013, most of the supporting cast was filled out with the additions of Lela Loren, Naturi Naughton, and Joseph Sikora.[3]
