Ponsacco is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Pisa in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 50 km southwest of Florence and about 20 km southeast of Pisa. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 13,353 and an area of 19.9 km².[1]
Geography
The municipality of Ponsacco contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Le Melorie, Val di Cava, and Camugliano.
Ponsacco borders the following municipalities: Capannoli, Lari, Pontedera.
